Credit cards - advantages and disadvantages

The biggest advantage of a credit card is that you don’t have to carry money around with you. When you travel abroad you can withdraw the local currency from an ATM without having to worry about where and how much you have to exchange.

However, if you travel outside the developed world they might not accept credit cards everywhere which could lead to several inconveniences; ATMs can be empty, your type of credit card might not be suitable or some shops may simply prefer cash to credit card.
