Funeral insurance
Death is never an easy aspect of life to face, but unfortunately it is inevitable and often can be a sudden occurrence. Many people turn a blind eye to the issue, and would not even think to prepare for their funeral although it is impossible to predict when that funeral might be. Many people think making a Last Will and Testament (a document which details how your assets should be divided after your death), and maybe leaving extra money side for the funeral should be enough to cover the cost of their funeral. However, if you have ideas about particlar aspects of your funeral or dont wish the burden of close family stressing over organising it, then funeral insurance would help cover these things.
Funeral Insurance is different to other insurances as the event that is insured is definite. The nature of most insurance policies is to offer protection in case something unexpected happens, and offer compensation when it does. But in the case of funeral insurance it is certain that people will die, and thus compensation and funeral expenses must be paid. For this reason, funeral insurance is usually called a financial package, or 'funeral plan', rather than insurance.
