It is compulsory to have car insurance before driving on public roads. The most common insurance is third party insurance which will protect you financially in the event of an accident or damage.
If you don’t have any insurance, anything that you possess such as your home, savings and other assets might be taken to pay for the damage. An insurance also protects you from the lawsuit payable as a result from an accident.
For a higher fee you can also get insurance cover if the accident is your fault, and if you take out a comprehensive insurance your insurer covers any damage caused to your own vehicle.
