A Joint and mutual will
A joint will is a single document regulating the dispositions and rights of ownership of property and disposition over the family members after the death of the signer. It
differs from a standard will in a way that it is usually used for cases where a married couple, with identical dispositions of their property for the future in case of the death of eiter or both sign the same one document in order to force their wills.
A mutual will, similarly to a joint will, lays down the regulations of a person over the disposition of his or her property after the event of his or her death. The difference between these two types of documents is that a mutual will usually consists of two similar documents with the exact same measures over the properties owned. They are usually signed by husband and wife and besides the legal externalities they usually have the same effect as a joint will.
Before taking actions to have such kind of will contract, it is recommended to consult with a lawyer about the legal validity, because it might differ country by country. In some cases a joint will might be void, while a mutual contract presents a legal relation.
